“Os Cronheiros” in Teixoso brings the parish to life, with hundreds of people taking to the streets to experience this traditional fair. The term “Cronheiros” refers to the word cronha, part of a weapon made from yew wood.
The food and drink sector, showcasing local gastronomy and crafts, is strong, and the area’s traditions are not forgotten — for example, washerwomen washing clothes in cement tanks.
In 2025, the fair took place from 1 to 3 August.
