“Fornos D’Argemela”

The Fornos D’Argemela festival celebrates the gastronomy of the Barco parish, with the aim of promoting “feijão no forno” (baked beans) as a regional delicacy and traditional dish. This hearty dish, made with beans baked in the oven, was once a staple meal for those working in the fields of the Argemela mountains.

The festival features music, regional gastronomy, tradition, and lively entertainment.

In 2025, it took place on 23 and 24 May.
